Pastor of Community

Pastor of Community -  Kevin VanderVeen

Paul writes in Galatians, “I have been crucified with
Christ and I no longer live, but Christ live in me. The
life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set
aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be
gained through the law, Christ died for nothing.”
When it comes to ministry, I am passionate about
building relationships in community. That means
walking alongside, and discipling, our Youth. That
means reaching out into our community to transform
lives and culture. And that means growing inwardly, as
a Christ-centered family caring for the needs of one
another.
I come to Covenant from Edmonton, Alberta, where I grew up, and from Grand Rapids,
Michigan, where I attended Kuyper College and Calvin Theological Seminary. I am on a journey
of learning what it means to live by faith, and I am encouraged to be a part of a passionate
congregation that is on the same journey.
I love spending time with friends and family. I enjoy being outside and riding my bike or going
for hikes. I enjoy spending time at coffee shops enjoying a hot cup of coffee and a good book. I
also enjoy the occasional glass of wine. I guess that means that St. Catharines is a great place to
call home.
